Other Matters / International Francesco Paolo Tosti Singing Competition ASIA PRELIMINARY 2007

1. Visa acquisition	Contestants requiring visas to appear at the Asia Preliminary 2007 are responsible for obtaining the necessary travel documents to enter Japan. The same applies in the case of accompanists. Contestants and accompanists should contact the Secretariat of the Asia Preliminary 2007 when a letter of invitation or similar document is required.

2. Insurance	Persons appearing at the Asia Preliminary 2007 are responsible for taking out insurance polices, if deemed necessary by them, for coverage of personal illness or injury to their person and / or theft, loss or damage involving baggage and other personal effects.

3. Copyright and related rights	All rights relating to audio/visual recording, broadcasting, performances, publishing or personal likenesses connected with any performance given as a part of the competition itself, the presentation of prizes, or the concert to be held after the competition shall belong to the sponsor.

4. Compliance with Japanese law	Any issues arising in regard to the above articles of guidance are to be resolved in accordance with the laws of Japan and based upon the Japanese language version of a memorandum concerning the International Francesco Paolo Tosti Singing Competition Asia Preliminary 2007.





Prize money	First place: EUR 5,000 Second place: EUR 2,500 Third place: EUR 1,500

Special prizes	Winners of the Youth Prize (EUR 1,000), Luka Prize (EUR 1,000), Club Tosti Prize (EUR 500), Pronuncia Award (for those skilled in foreign languages) (EUR 500) and Nara Akishino Prize are scheduled to perform on the international.

Judges	Director of Istituto Nazionale Tostiano, Principal Conductor of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Artistic Director of the Teatro alla Scala, Artistic Director of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Head of Musical Programming at the BBC in London, Vocalists, Members of Japan Tosti Institute, and others.
