| 1. Eligibility |
Contestants must be persons of any nationality residing in Japan or be citizens of other countries in Asia, and be no younger than 18 nor have reached their 35th birthday (born on or after June 1, 1972 and up to April 30, 1990). |

2. Deadline for
 applications |
All application materials must arrive between April 9 (Mon.) and June 10 (Sun.), 2007. |

| 3. How to apply |
Those wishing to compete should send an application package (detailed in items 1 through 5 below) to the secretariat of the competition.

In the case of a cassette tape, contain a Tosti song on side A and a Japanese song on side B. (Applicants from outside of Japan may also include a Japanese song if they so wish.) |

In the case of a CD or MD , contain a Tosti song as the first song and a Japanese song as the second. (Applicants from outside of Japan may also include a Japanese song if they so wish.) |

Winners in the vocal category of other international competitions (first, second or third place) will compete from the second elimination round. Copies of documentation should be provided to prove receipt of prizes in international contests, in addition to other documentation other than that described in (4) above. |

Applications may be refused in cases of glaring inadequacies in submitted materials. |
|
No responsibility will be born for applications materials, etc. lost in the post. Applicants are advised to make copies of all submitted materials. |

Submitted materials will not be returned to applicants. |

5. Initial
evaluation |
|
An initial evaluation will be performed to determine which applicants will compete in the competition. |
|
This evaluation will be conducted based on submitted documentation and audition CD, MD or cassette tape. |
|
The results of the initial evaluation will be sent out to applicants by July 31 (Tue.), 2007. Successful applicants will also receive details of the competition, a letter of intent and a participant registration card. Persons residing outside of Japan will be sent evaluation results and the above materials by e-mail, instead of by post. |
